PHOTOSAlexis Bellino Claims She Turned Down Offer To Return To 'Toxic' 'RHOC'
Alexis Bellino made a surprise cameo in season 14 of the Real Housewives of Orange County and it had fans wondering if she would return full-time to the Bravo series. But alas, that was just a pipe dream and the former cast member revealed that she's not coming back to the show.
“I was offered and I said no. I was offered a main role or a ‘friend’ role for season 14,” Alexis, 42, shared on Us Weekly’s Hot Hollywood podcast. “I don’t know if they’re going to call again or not, but I honestly just don’t want the drama again in my life. It’s kind of toxic for me.”
Alexis starred on RHOC for three seasons, starting with season five. She departed the series in season eight but stayed good friends with costars Kelly Dodd and Emily Simpson.
“Kelly and Emily are begging me. They’re like, ‘Please come back.’ I just think I’ve turned that chapter,” the mother of four added. She has been dating her boyfriend Andy Bohn, whom she nicknamed "Drew." She added that coming back to the show would negatively affect her relationship.
“Drew is going to be in my life for good,” she continued. “I don’t want to bring that into our relationship.” Alexis was previously married to Jim Bellino, with whom she shares four children.
A source dished to Us Weekly recently, "She was asked to do a cameo and film one or two things with her friend Emily, but not in any full-time capacity."
Fellow RHOC alum Gretchen Rossi considered rejoining the series after leaving in 2013. “Here’s the thing I always say, never say never, because watch if they come next year and go, ‘we’ll give you $5 million’, then sure,” the 41-year-old told HollywoodLife.com last month. “Slade Smiley and I, we really do feel like we’ve grown past that,” she admitted. “We feel like it was a great platform. We enjoyed doing that. I did it for half a decade. He did it for eight years.” Gretchen joined the show's fourth season way back in 2008.
