Jenelle Evans Defends Husband David Eason From 'Smear Campaign' After He's Charged With Child Abuse
Jenelle Evans is defending her husband after he was charged with child abuse.
In the days following David Eason being served with a misdemeanor for an incident involving her 14-year-old son, Jace Evans, the Teen Mom star, 31, took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, October 24, to give her side of the story.
"You would think police wouldn't make a one-sided police investigation," Evans claimed of the situation. "They didn't conduct interviews, didn't ask any information from the parents. This seems like a very bias [sic] situation like every time before."
"I trusted that detective with all my heart.. forgot you can't trust cops… silly me," she continued before alleging that authorities have been conducting a "smear campaign" against Eason, 35. The MTV star also accused police of giving details about her minor child to the media "and gave no f----."
"Let's go to court. I've been waiting on our day," Evans penned. "I feel so violated by the system. Wait until the day you hear the truth. You will be begging me not to sue you." The reality star went on to admit she could "not trust anyone around" and was going be "going MIA for a while."
According to reports, an investigation was opened into Eason after Evans' oldest son ran away from their North Carolina home two months ago. "Jace has been found and is safely at home with Jenelle and his family," a representative for Evans said in a statement given on August 15. "Thank you to the Brunswick Co. Sheriff's Department and to everyone else for their concerns."

Evans — who has a 9-year-old son, Kaiser, with ex-boyfriend Nathan Griffith, and also has daughter Ensley, 6, with Eason — explained in a statement of her own, "As a boy mom, kids can act up and rebel as I'm sure the majority of us all once did as kids too. Jace got in trouble at school, we decided to take his phone away and that's when he decided to run off. Jace is a good kid, and we're not dealing with anything that most families don't deal with while raising children."
The mother-of-three clarified that her relationship with her spouse had absolutely nothing to do with her teenager taking off.

"We do not argue in front of our children or fight in front of our kids," she emphasized of their relationship. "This is a teenage boy being a teenager mad that we decided to take his phone away."
Two weeks later, the young boy secretly left home once again, leading Evans to report him missing for a second time. Her child was later found by authorities exploring the forest and lakes near their property.
