RadarOnline.com exclusively reported that Nathan was arrested in North Carolina on October 17, 2019.
Radar obtained police records that stated Nathan was busted for “driving while impaired” outside a grocery store in Cary, North Carolina. The 32-year-old was handcuffed at 5:56pm and taken into custody by Cary Police.
The site also revealed that the 32-year-old was found "unconscious" in his car when police arrived. According to the Cary Police Department, a call came in at 5:23pm after an unknown person found Nathan in his car.
Sergeant Mike Ring told the site, “He was found unconscious in the parking lot of grocery store Harris Teeter. His car was running. The fire department notified us when they realized it wasn’t medical, it was impairment.”
Nathan was given and failed a series of field sobriety tests, which included horizontal gaze nystagmus, walk and turn, and one-leg stand. However, he refused to take a breathalyzer test. “He was impaired,” the officer said. According to the officer, "empty alcohol containers were found in the car," and "no drugs were found at the scene.”
Radar confirmed from the Wake County Sheriff’s Department that he is out on bond.
Nathan shares his son, Kaiser, 5, with his ex-fiance, Jenelle. The past few months haven't been easy for Nathan and his family.
He gained custody of Kaiser after Jenelle's husband, David Eason, shot and killed their family dog in April 2019. Nathan was fighting for full custody, but in early July 2019, Jenelle regained custody of her children.
After Jenelle regained custody, Nathan released a statement. "I've calm down a bit and just relying on my faith at this moment," he tweeted. At the time, he also shared an online complaint form, along with the judge's name that gave Jenelle custody of the 5-year-old again. He added, "#TeamGriffith."
