Jersey Shore star Angelina Pivarnick thinks her former castmate Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola would be the perfect person to replace Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi! Snooki announced on December 6 that she was retiring from the show. Meanwhile, Sammi hasn’t been on the MTV show since it first went off the air in 2012.
“I said this in the beginning — like, years ago — that Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola should return, but she’s living her best life,” Angelina, 33, told Us Weekly on December 16 when discussing the possibility of a replacement for Snooki, 32.
Angelina added, “She’s getting married soon — good for her. She looks so amazing. I don’t know who she’s inviting to the wedding. I don’t know if it’s right now. I don’t know if it’s this year. I think it’s next year, so I don’t know.”
Sammi, 32, got engaged to Christian Biscardi in March after nearly two years of dating. The former reality star hasn’t given any hints that she is inviting her former castmates. In September, Sammi shared a photo of her bridesmaids and many fans were disappointed that Snooki and Jenni “JWoww” Farley weren’t in the bridal party when she was in theirs.

“Some of the cast members have tried reaching out, but she hasn’t responded to them lately,” a source told Us in October 2019. “They would really like to still be friends.”
Sammi opted not to return for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, which premiered in April 2018. “I have chosen not to join the show because I am at a completely different place in my life right now focusing on my businesses and relationship. I am not the same person as I was sic 22,” Sammi said in a statement at the time. “At 31, I am currently extremely happy in every aspect of my life and want to avoid potentially toxic situations.”
Snooki chose to retire from the series for similar reasons. “It was a really hard decision, but I had to think about my happiness and where I really wanted myself to be, and it’s being a mom and being with my kids and not drama and drinking … and drama,” Snooki said on The Mel Robbins Show.
