Red Carpet Confidential: Could Marriage & Babies Be Next for ‘Jersey Shore’ Stars Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro?

When Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro made it official by moving in together last year, they set aside the on-again, off-again nature of their relationship.
“Our relationship is stronger,” Sammi tells me Thursday during the WWE Superstars For Sandy Relief event held at NYC’s Cipriani Wall Street. “We know everything, literally, about each other. There’s no surprises anymore.”
Ronnie adds, “We definitely learn more things about each other that we didn’t know before. It made our connection grow.”
He continues, “You get to know the person a lot better. Morning breath—that’s all I’m going to say.”
The lovebirds crack up laughing.

For Sammi, dealing with Ronnie’s housekeeping habits has been a challenge.
“He’s messy,” she says. “I can be messy and neat, but he’s straight-up messy. There are clothes everywhere. He has so much stuff everywhere. He doesn’t pick up after himself. It’s everywhere!”
Through morning breath and clothes piles, they remember why they fell in love in the first place.
“She makes me laugh,” he says.
She says, “His personality really gets me. His personality is upbeat and fun.”
Despite the adjustment of living together and pressure stemming from the engagements of Jersey Shore co-stars Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jenni “JWoww” Farley, they aren’t racing towards the altar.
“We’re taking things slower,” she says. “We’re still being young, and living our own lives. Eventually in the future, if it happens, and we get married, then we do. We’re taking things slow.”
Ditto on the kid front.
“I’m fine right now, the way I am,” Ronnie says. “Eventually I would love to have kids.”
Jersey Shore’s new mom Snooki is in the house tonight.
“I think that Snooki’s someone else,” Ronnie says. “She always wanted a child. Ever since the first season, it was ‘snookin’ for love,’ and she wanted the husband, the white picket fence and the husband. That’s something she’s always wanted.”
Sammi agrees that the timing is not right to begin their brood.
“I love kids,” she says. “Maybe, hopefully one day I’ll be able to have a little family like Nicole. One day—not anytime soon.”
She continues, “I’m only 26. I still feel like I have so much life to live. I want to travel. I want to work on my career and my businesses before I have to have a family and then care about others—my children. I still want to focus on myself.”

One thing they make sure to do is appreciate the other so that living together doesn’t become a roommate situation.
“We do little things for each other, like if I need certain things for the house—if I run out of stuff that I need, she’ll get it for me,” Ronnie says. “And if I know she hasn’t eaten all day and I’m out, I’ll bring home food. We take care of each other.”
As for the anger issues we saw when Ronnie raged out on Jersey Shore?
“He doesn’t have anger issues,” Sammi says.
Ronnie adds, “That was editing issues!”
