'RHOBH' Star Brandi Glanville Reveals She 'Wanted To Kill' LeAnn Rimes When Affair With Eddie Cibrian Was Exposed
Brandi Glanville is opening up about ex-husband Eddie Cibrian’s infidelity, admitting that she “wanted to kill” LeAnn Rimes after the affair.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 48, was with Cibrian for eight years before discovering that he had been cheating on her in 2008.
The former couple, who share two children together, Mason, 18, and Jake, 14, had a seemingly perfect marriage before things took a turn for the worse.
“Eddie and I got along great and had the best sex life. I was madly in love and felt like I had the perfect life,” Glanville wrote in a recent op-ed.
She likened herself to Martha Hancock, noting that she found out about the affair by catching her husband kissing the other woman on camera.
“There had been warning signs, though. I’m a very jealous Scorpio and there were times I couldn’t contact Eddie and he’d claim his phone had died again,” Glanville wrote. “I’d sometimes visit him on set and notice chemistry with certain co-stars. I’d ask him if something had gone down, but he’d tell me I was crazy.
“Eddie and I were together for 13 years and married for eight. We always promised each other that we would never get a divorce and that we’d love each other when we were old,” the reality TV personality recounted.
But everything changed once Cibrian began shooting a movie with Rimes, 38, in 2008, and when Glanville visited the set, she could tell something was up.
“I could tell they were attracted to each other, though her husband was right there and I was right there too,” she wrote.
Later, video footage of Rimes and Cibrian getting hot and heavy in a restaurant broke out all over news outlets, and the secret was out. Despite attending counseling to patch things up, the affair continued, and Glanville soon realized it was over.
“I was broken,” the mom-of-two wrote, but it wasn’t until her children became involved when she really felt the anger.
“One time, before they were married, I walked up to a soccer game and Jake, who was two, was sitting in her lap,” she recounted. “I had this rage in my body. I really wanted to kill her.”
"I walked over to her, grabbed Jake and I looked at her and said: 'I will f**king murder you.'"
Eventually, Glanville was able to move on, and even has come around to accepting Rimes in her life since the Coyote Ugly star tied the knot with Cibrian in 2011.
“These days, I love LeAnn,” Glanville wrote in The Sun. “She’s great and we all hang out together. I’ve forgiven her.”
Glanville insists that she has since moved on from the anger she used to have; however, she does note that she will “always have trust issues because of what happened.”
