Sharon Stone Heartbreakingly Reveals Her 11-Month-Old Nephew River Died Following 'Total Organ Failure'
Sharon Stone revealed her 11-month-old nephew has sadly died.
“River William Stone Sept. 8, 2020 - Aug. 30, 2021,” the 63-year-old actress captioned a heartbreaking video tribute to her godson on Monday, August 30. The video montage is set to Eric Clapton’s hit tune “Tears in Heaven.”
Her famous pals showered the Basic Instinct star with love after the news. “Ugh. I’m sitting here in tears. I’m so sorry, Sharon. What a beautiful boy. Sending all my love to you and your family. ❤️😢,” Will & Grace alum Sean Hayes wrote, while comedian Leslie Jordan commented: “This breaks my heart. I’m in pieces right now.”
The condolences continued: “Sharon, I’m so very sorry for your loss. This is incredibly heartbreaking. My love, prayers and thoughts to you and your family. ❤️,” actress Jaimie Alexander wrote, while Debra Messing stated: “Noooooooooooooo. I am in disbelief. Oh Sharon, there are no words, other than I’m so sorry for your whole family’s loss. I am praying for all of you at this unimaginable time.”
River’s tragic passing comes three days after Stone shared a snap of her nephew in a hospital bed with several tubes running from his body.
"My nephew and godson River Stone was found in his crib w total organ failure today,” she captioned the photo via Instagram on Friday, August 27. “Please pray for him. We need a miracle🤍💥🙏.”
River is the son of the A-list star’s brother, and was born in September 2020. “Look who’s going home: River William Stone, my brother Patrick and his wife Tasha’s new baby,” she captioned a sweet snap of the infant getting ready to leave the hospital on September 13, 2020.
Stone has three sons of her own: Roan, 21, Laird, 16, and Quinn, 15. The Total Recall star is raising them all as a single mom in Hollywood.
