We 'Want Answers!': Meghan Markle Demands a Response From King Charles About 'Different Rules' for Her and Prince Harry
Monarchs are meant to issue commands and not answer demands, but Meghan Markle is exacting answers from King Charles III, according to a royal expert.
"The thing that really riles Meghan is that Fergie pops up on things like the ITV daytime show This Morning, [and] Loose Women, and billing herself as the Duchess of York, selling books and possibly doing adverts all under the royal family," popular YouTube broadcaster Neil Sean told an outlet.
"Meghan and Harry seemingly don’t understand why it’s a different rule for her," he added, before stating how Meghan "tried to set up a meeting with him [the King], she sent him a letter and wanted a one-to-one to explain exactly the problems she’s encountered ever since becoming a member of the British monarchy."
Sean's report may lie in the fact that both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex still actively choose to use their royal styles and titles while refusing to work for the Crown and instead monetizing their own individual projects. Sarah Ferguson won the right to legally use "Duchess of York" (and totally lost her HRH) after her first name as part of her 1996 divorce settlement from Prince Andrew.
This news also follows recent reports that reflect where the Montecito twosome's professional lives could go as the year unfolds, and the outlook does not seem promising.
"Something is beginning to unwind at the heart of Meghan and Harry," PR expert Mark Borkowski dished. "I think 2024 is going to be seismic, either because they’re going to do something to recover and find a new positive tactic, or it’s going to be the undoing of the brand."
He added: "It can only go one or two ways. It can’t stay where it is at the moment. Because it’s clearly not working."

The Montecito royals were both subjected to a brutal "Hollywood freeze-out" during the summer of 2023, which followed the "embarrassing" loss of their Spotify contract that June. This could be set to continue thanks to more controversies surrounding the pair since then.
"We've seen countless appearances of Meghan on red carpets. The story of her being back in play in Hollywood is all about Meghan trying to return to her own turf, being available for work, and getting back to Hollywood," Borkowski observed.
He concluded: "But I would suggest they are getting perhaps conveniently left behind by the Hollywood machine, who have probably had enough of them and enough of the negativity. They're hinting at their big plans ahead, but you know, we've heard that all before. So they have to deliver something now."
The New York Post reported on Sean's insights.
