JonBenét Ramsey's Father Praises Idaho Police for Working With the FBI to Solve Horrific Quadruple Murder: 'This Is How You Do It'
John Ramsey repeatedly criticized Boulder, Colo., police for their investigation of his daughter's unsolved murder, but the 79-year-old is heaping praise on the way the local authorities handled the brutal killings of four University of Idaho students.
"When I first heard about the Moscow case, I looked how big the town was and thought, 'Oh boy, here comes another Boulder," the father of slain pageant princess JonBenét Ramsey told a news outlet. "It looked like another inexperienced, small police department."
"The Chief of Police came up and said, 'This is our investigation,' and I thought again, this doesn't look good," he admitted. "But he brought in everybody he could get his hands on right away. He had 40 FBI agents on site he had to state police and they had it solved within a few weeks."
As OK! previously reported, Kaylee Goncalves, 21; Madison Mogen, 21; Xana Kernodle, 20; and Kernodle's boyfriend, Ethan Chapin, 20, were killed while living at off-campus housing in November 2022.
Suspect Bryan Kohberger was arrested seven weeks later and charged with four counts of first-degree murder. He currently faces the death penalty if found guilty.

"I think the two cases ought to be illustrated to any new police chief that this is how you do it, in Moscow, and here's how you don't do it, in my daughter's case," John continued, reiterating that the Moscow police wanted as much outside help as possible to solve the tragic case, while Boulder police allegedly "refused help from the very beginning."
"That's been my criticism of Boulder PD all along, that they refused help from people that could've helped them," he explained of his daughter's murder case. "And that's really the second tragedy in this case."
"I was told by experienced homicide detectives that this case wouldn't have been difficult to solve had they had the right resources in the very beginning," John added of his daughter's murder.
"There's been lots of help that's been offered over the years from people that have the experience to solve this and they've always refused that help," he said. "And that's foolish at a minimum, and criminal at worst."
