It's A Boy! Macaulay Culkin & Brenda Song Secretly Welcome First Child Together — Find Out The Newborn's Sentimental Moniker
Child star Macaulay Culkin is a father! He and actress Brenda Song secretly welcomed their first child together last week.
“We’re overjoyed,” the parents told Esquire confirming the news. Dakota Song Culkin was born Monday, April 5, at 1:10 p.m. in Los Angeles. The happy parents named their newborn son after Culkin’s late sister Dakota — who died in 2008 after being stuck by a car at the age of 29.
The Home Alone star and Song met in Thailand a few years ago on the set of the film Changeland, a rousing comedy about friendship (directed by Culkin’s good friend Seth Green), and have been romantically linked since July 2017.
Shortly after they got together, Culkin was adamant about starting a family with the Disney Channel star. As OK! previously reported, Culkin told host Joe Rogan on his podcast, "The Joe Rogan Experience," that he wanted to “make some babies” with the actress, adding they’ve “definitely been practicing.”

The My Girl alum noted that the lovebirds would have pretty babies. He giggled, "She’s Asian, so I’m gonna have tiny little Asian babies. It’s going to be adorable — a bunch of Sean Lennons running around the house, that’s what I’m looking for,” Culkin told Rogan, referring to the son of Beatles member John Lennon and Yoko Ono.
Culkin made headlines recently when he went along with the plea that former President Donald Trump be removed from the beloved holiday classic Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. Following the violent riots that rocked the nation's Capitol on January 6 (leading to Trump being impeached for a second time), many took to social media to demand the former president be axed from the film — and Culkin agreed.
After one fan tweeted, “Petition to digitally replace Trump in ‘Home Alone 2’ with 40-year-old Macaulay Culkin,” the Richie Rich actor simply replied, “Sold.” Another user took it a step further and edited Trump completely out of the film, to which Culkin wrote, “Bravo.”
Culkin has kept himself busy as of late filming the upcoming season 10 of Ryan Murphy’s hit series American Horror Story, starring Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters and more.
